Back to School with Smash Lunch Bags

As the school term draws ever closer, a week in our case… I start the mad panic to get everything prepared in time.  Thankfully I was sent an amazing selection of lunch bags and food storage containers from Smash and Nude Food Movers to help me on my way and to relieve the panic slightly….as you read this I’m still to sort out school shoes!

Smash insulated lunch bags have really cool designs that appeal to any age children.  Obviously the lunch bags that we have veer slightly towards the boys (not necessarily of course), but there’s some great girly designs too.

At first glance the lunch bags have a decent zip with wide teeth, they are a decent size and have a handy handle, they also come with a side pocket on the outside to hold their drinks…No more drinks lying on their side slowly leaking away…

As well as the insulated lunch bags, we also received a selection of different Nude Food Movers boxes and food storage containers.  The idea behind these is that you don’t need to take any potential rubbish, like tin foil or sandwich bags as these guys keep your food fresh enough without.

This bigger food box, comes with different sections so you can store 2 lots of sandwiches and then individual food items like fruit, biscuits etc, you can break it down into small sections if you wish, but it actually sits comfortable within the insulated lunch box.

Then we have these stackable containers which you can use individually or all together…these would actually come in really handy for storing snack foods for long car journeys.

We then had a bigger sized tub which is called the Muffin Mover, and no you don’t have to have the double choc chip muffins here, there are lots of healthy versions around now!

Finally and one thing I actually struggled to get in the last school term is some gel ice packs, the thought of those lunch bags sitting in a hot stuffy school festering away till lunchtime is enough to turn my stomach, hopefully these will help keep their food cool and fresh!

Smash Lunch Bags and Nude Food Movers are available in most large supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda and John Lewis/Waitrose.

You can find out more behind the range at the following addresses: http://www.smashenterprises.com.au/ and http://www.nudefoodmovers.com.au/.

Now I need to find inspiration for lunch box food ideas, mine are stuck on the normal sandwich / crisp / biscuit combo…I love the idea behind Bento lunches but honestly I would spend so much time on it and I know it will all be messed up by the time they got to school that I would probably cry myself to sleep…

Any ideas on what to give for lunches that are winners with kids?
