Biffy Clyro – UK & Ireland 2013 Arena Tour

I was lucky enough to grab tickets to one of my favourite bands, Biffy Clyro on their latest tour at LG Arena in Birmingham.  I’ve seen them 4 times now (the most seen band in my gig repertoire!) firstly at Wembley Arena when they were still relatively un-heard of, supporting Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes Bowl, Download Festival 2012 and just a few days ago in Birmingham.

Even though I’ve seen them a few times now, they still manage to blow me away with their amazing sets, amazing toplessness and Simon Neil’s lovely locks!….and of course his awesome Scottish voice.

They played a good selection of tracks, probably around 50% from their new album – Opposites and then a mixture of old classics, bubbles, The Captain, Many of horror etc.

Not the best pictures admittedly, but then it’s pretty hard to get a decent shot with just a smart phone and the bright lights to contend with.

The gig lasted for around an hour and half and they barely let up the whole time, taking a very short break before the encore, so loads of songs were sung.

At the end of the evening and on exiting the arena, we discovered it was snowing pretty heavily in Birmingham, and deciding to avoid queuing for the bus and walk to the car, needless to say we were slightly damp…Although Amanda and Emma were worse as they were the ones that didn’t bring a coat!

To leave you now with one of my favourite Biffy Clyro songs…

What’s yours?
