Getting Friendly with Bugs and Reptiles at Bugtopia

I’ve visited Bugtopia a few times now over the last few years, it’s based in a small village called Great Cransley, near Kettering in Northants.  It’s an extension of the Green Trunks Garden Centre.

Bugtopia is run by a small dedicated team who are incredibly passionate about bugs and reptiles.  They saw a gap in the market where people were buying lizards from well-known pet stores and then realising that they actually don’t know how to care for them!

They’re here to help educate adults and children who want to have these types of pets on how to care for them and offer advice where needed.

But the best part is you get to handle some of the animals too 🙂

The Bugtopia ‘Meet and Greet’ sessions are only £4 per person.  Each session they use different animals so to not over-handle the same ones and to add diversity to each session…each time I’ve been I’ve got to see different animals up close.

They even have a small selection of reptiles that you can purchase should you feel ready to own one yourself!
