KitShack BUFF® Review

Buffs are an essential part of my hiking gear, I always have one for the winter and also in the summer as they’re so versatile.  But they’re not just for this type of activity, I use them for everyday use as well, walking the dogs, doing the school run, I’ve basically substituted the scarf for the Buff!

If you’re wondering what Buffs are, they are basically a multi-functional piece of headwear.  They can be worn as a simple neck warmer/protector, pulled up over your mouth and nose, head band, wristband and even a bandana!

Here’s a really great video showing what you can do with a Buff:

KitShack (probably one of the largest suppliers of Buffs in the UK) got in touch to see if I wanted to review their vast selection of Buffs and being a fan already I knew It would be an easy review for me to do!  Even better the whole family (dogs included) got one too 🙂

For myself, I opted for the Original Buff, the classic tubular design where you can style into all sorts of things.  What I love about Buffs is that they are small and not bulky like a wooly scarf would be, so when I’m hiking or even walking the dogs, wearing a Buff is a much more comfortable option.  You don’t overheat, yet at the same time is keeps yours neck protected from wind and the cold.  The material for the Original Buff is quite thin and stretchy so easily pulled over the head (and make great hair bands). These retail currently online at £15.

For the kids (and to save arguments!) I chose them both the Junior Bandana in ‘Terrifying’…The boys loved them!  Especially when at the park and having it pulled up to show the scary mouth to unsuspected passer bys!  Again the great thing about the Buffs and these bandanas too is they fit nicely inside your coat without bulking it up and you have no risk of losing them either as they are pulled over the head.  My boys have never been ones to wear scarves anyway for this reason, so the bandanas really did suit them well.  The material of the bandanas is more like a thin fleece so really only suited to the colder months.  These currently retail ay £18.75.

For the dogs, they received a Dog Buff which was brightly coloured and has a reflective strip, my dogs are Labrador’s so quite a large breed and the Buffs were the regular size and fitted perfectly with ample room to spare.  Easy to put on and remove.  These currently retail at £8.50. Here’s Monty doing his modeling duties 🙂

There are quite literally hundreds of Buffs you can choose from, there’s different adult styles and so many different designs I found it so hard to choose just one!

If you find scarves bulky and too hot, then Buffs really are the solution.

I was sent these items as part of the review, however I already owned several Buffs prior to this so was already a big fan!
