Stylish Rainwear from Rain-wave – Review

Britain is renowned for being wet, so it’s essential that rainwear is part of your staple wardrobe.  With different rainwear options available is sometimes hard to find styles to stand out from the crowd.  Independent British manufacturer Rain-wave has done just that with a quirky range of stylish and unique styles for the most fashion conscious.

Founders Julia and Katy searched high and low but couldn’t find rainwear that was beautiful and technical.

“There were either ugly waterproofs or stylish raincoats that didn’t do the job when you’re caught in the rain. Our mission was to make women the rainwear they needed.  Coats that look fantastic and perform.  Yes! We wanted them to be life-enhancing.”

Having received one of their ponchos, one of the first things that struck me was the overall quality, it was thick and not at all flimsy, you could tell that it would hold up in the rain.

The poncho is quite large in length reaching my knees (I’m 5′ 9) and is obviously generous in material so one size really would fit all.  The sleeves reach to just above my wrist and there’s also a hood which you can tighten.  The whole poncho can be folded up and fit into a compact bag enabling you to carry it around until you need it.

I can really see the ponchos being a good addition to your festival kit, ponchos are everywhere there but generally they’re the poor quality ones that end up getting ripped off anyway!  And with different colours and patterns to choose from you’re sure to stand out from the crowd.

Also available from Rain-wave are trenchcoats.

The slate animal print poncho that I received is currently on sale at £37.50

*I was sent a poncho for the purpose of this review, all thoughts are my own…apologies for my poor modelling skills!
