Trespass Qikpac Waterproof Jacket – Review

One of the main things when packing up my rucksack for a hiking trip is to try to keep items minimal, to have everything I need without taking up too much room and ultimately to keep the pack light.  I’ve tried many waterproof jackets over the years and they have all stood well in the elements, but most don’t pack away nice and small in my backpack.

My hiking friend had recently bought a new waterproof jacket and raved about how good it was especially being one that you can pack down small.  It turns out the jacket was the Trespass Qikpac waterproof  jacket, so when Trespass got in touch asking if I’d like to review something from their range of items, I jumped at the chance to try out the Qikpac for myself!

Trespass Qikpac waterproof jacket

The jacket itself is incredibly lightweight and thin so you’d be foolish in thinking that it can’t possibly keep rain at bay successfully.  Trespass boasts that the jacket material is waterproof up to 5,000mm with a breathability rating of 5000mvp.

What I particularly liked about the jacket is that it’s spacious enough for you to be wearing layers underneath without feeling restricted and the adjustable hood to allowing you to tighten the cord to stop the hood from blowing down.

The Qikpac jacket comes in a variety of colours and being unisex a vast range of sizes too.  The sizing is very generous so I would recommend taking a look at the size guide before choosing your size, I normally go for a large in jackets to allow room for layers but I chose a medium in this instance and still had plenty of room.

Having tested the jacket on a recent walking trip to the Shorpshire Hills where we were treated to some wet conditions, the jacket fared well and kept me dry and warm and stowed away in my small backpack well.
