C500 Police Preferred KeySafe ™ – Review
Have you or one of your family ever been in a situation where you don’t have your house key and no-one is home? If you have teenagers then the situation has probably arisen more times than you care to admit! The Supra C500 KeySafe™ is a good solution to never being caught locked out the house again.
The C500 Police Preferred KeySafe™ (Supra C500 KeySafe™) is one of the original police preferred key safes and proudly recognised ‘As secure as your front door’ with a capacity to hold up to 6 keys. The Supra C500 KeySafe™ is THE original police preferred key safe.
The manufacturer states that the latest model is officially UK’s most secure mechanical key safe, as independently certified by Secure by Design, UK Police initiative, and Loss Prevention Certification Board.
With features such as:
- Over 4000 possible lock combinations
- Easy to change code
- Constructed from Zinc Alloy making it attack resistant
- Internal hook allowing up to 6 keys
- Rust and water resistant and can be used in temperatures from – 32°C to 68°C.
- Weather cover which protects the key pad from elements and helps disguise key safe from view.
With a range of key safes on the market, it can be hard to decide which to go for and when you’re placing a key to your house in one then you of course want it to be the most secure key safe there is. The Supra C500 KeySafe ™ is currently one of few key safes on the market which holds some accreditation, recommended by police and therefore giving much more peace of mind.
The Supra C500 KeySafe ™ is currently priced at £59.94 which is well worth the price considering all of the above.
Installing the key safe was pretty straightforward, the packaging came with a template of where to drill the holes and once deciding on the best place for it, was attached and ready to go with five minutes.
Having had the Supra C500 KeySafe ™ in place for a good 3-4 weeks now, we’ve out it into use a few times. No more frustrated teenagers sitting on the door stop in the rain. The only issue I for see with the key safe is the time that someone doesn’t put the key back after they’ve used it! But that’s more an operator issue rather than an item issue 🙂
The key safe has come in really handy in other ways too, my working hours have recently changed and it meant that my two dogs were on their own for longer than normal, so my mum has been making a few visits and having the key safe has allowed us to give her access to the house without her needing to have her own key.
