Dorset Tea – Herbal and Fruit Infused Tea – Review
I’m a big tea and coffee drinker, I can consume endless amounts of tea before lunchtime to keep me buzzing throughout the rest of the day.
However, more recently I’ve decided to scale back on the caffeine and try to introduce different drinks, healthier drinks into the equation and in preparation for the C9 diet where I need to cut out caffeine all together fruit teas seemed the most obvious choice for someone who enjoys a hot drink (especially in winter!).
Dorset Tea recently contacted me to show me their complete range of herbal and fruit infused teas, and kindly offered to send me a hamper to review.
Founded in 1934 and evolving from a small kitchen in Bournemouth to supplying major retailers around the UK, they developed their new range of herbal and fruit teas.
“Our love of Dorset has inspired us to create a new range of fruit & herbal infusions and green teas which capture the all-round loveliness of our beautiful county”
Herbal Infusions
I first sampled the Herbal infusions ‘Wild about Mint‘ tea on a camping trip in Wales, using the handy enamel mug and flask at the same time.
I found this tea really nice and you really get that minty hit you would expect from the tea, perfect for that wake-up I needed after a sleepless night in a tent!
Next up in the herbal range is the ‘Earl of Dorset‘, which is Earl Grey blended with a hint of liquorice. I’m not a massive fan of liquorice generally, however this was very subtle in this tea and made for an enjoyable drink.
The ‘Cool Camomile‘ tea is perfect for winding down in the evenings and preparing you for bed.
Fruit Infusions
I really enjoyed the ‘Strawberries and Cream‘ tea, it smelt divine and tasted just as good, it really did pack the flavour well.
The ‘Blackberry Syllabub‘ was again was very flavourful and was a welcome comfort whilst I tackled my daily workload!
And finally the last tea in the fruit infusion range is ‘Foraged Fruits‘ and as the name suggests it’s a great blend of blackberries, strawberries and raspberries.
Green Tea
Finally the last range in the hamper was the green teas. I tried these with caution as in the past I’ve found green tea to be quite bitter. This however was not the case with the ‘Pure Green Tea‘ and if you prefer a little added flavour then there’s the ‘Green tea with Sunshine Lemon‘ this would be perfect on a warm summers day!
I was sent these items for the purpose of a review, all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Totally agree with Green tea – that is the only read fruit tea I have ever tried and due to the bitterness, it put me off completely, so tend to stick to my English Breakfast and tonnes of milk. Everyone thinks I am crazy!
Fab review though and I do like the sound of the Strawberry and Cream tea!
