Helly Hansen W Bellevue Coat – Review
Hiking throughout the year you’re almost guaranteed that you’re going to need a waterproof coat with you at all times, even if it’s just to keep you warm when it’s windy, temperatures at top of mountains tend to be colder than at the bottom. Having already tried and loved the Helly Hansen W Welsey Trench Coat over the winter I was keen to try the W Bellevue coat as more of a hiking coat.
The Helly Hansen W Bellevue coat comes in a variety of colours and although my first choice was unavailable in my size I’m still pleased with my overall choice in ‘Evening Blue Checks’.
I’ve given the coat a very thorough check and am really pleased with the look, the feel and the durability and although I haven’t worn it in torrential rain I think it would stand up well to all that is thrown at it. It’s been on trips ranging from the Peak District to the Laugavegurinn Trail in Iceland and Trolltunga in Norway and regularly is worn on dog walks and the school run. With adjustable cuffs and hood you can really make the coat work well for you in all types of weather and packing down quite compactly means that it can be stored in my 8L Deuter backpack without taking up too much room.
Below is a list of all the features as described on the Helly Hansen product page…
