Holiday deals review – Travelzoo
As I’m always on the hunt for the best deals and looking for a cheap holiday, I thought it would be nice to review the travel websites that offer multiple deals and highlight the best ones that are available and maybe inspire some of you to get out there and have an adventure! I’m kicking it off with Travelzoo.
Travelzoo is a global Internet media company and trusted publisher of travel, entertainment and local deals. The team researches, evaluates and tests thousands of deals to find those with true value. They recommend only deals whose accuracy and availability they can confirm.
As well as the deals that are listed on the site itself, they also offer subscribers access to the Top 20 deals every week (Email is sent on Wednesdays)…if only I had more holiday allowance!! Basically how it works is Travelzoo find the deals, and then if you wish to go ahead with that deal it then takes you directly to the travel company that is selling the deal.
So here’s 5 holidays/deals that really stuck out for me…
- £299 – Iceland trip, including Northern Lights Excursion. This is priced per person and offers a £160 saving. It includes flights, 3 night accommodation and breakfast.
- £599 – Everest Base Camp – 18 day trek with guides. This is an amazing price offering 40% off. This doesn’t include flights from the UK, but does include hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, 14 nights accommodation whilst trekking, flights from Kathmandu to Lukla, permits, guides and airport transfers.
- £119 – Tuscany, 2 night in Chianti region. This includes a 2 night stay for 2 people and breakfast. Note: this is a voucher booking, and is only available for another 11 days (at the time this post was published). Flights are not included.
- £399 – 5 Star Cyprus Le Meridien holiday with sea view upgrade. This offer is currently being offered at £380 less the normal price, it includes flights and is on a bed and breakfast package, you can upgrade to half-board for a further £99 per person.
- £59 & up – Return flight to Ibiza from 13 UK airports, this includes tax.
So there you have it, they’re my 5 picks, but there’s loads more online and make sure you sign up to their weekly newsletter so that you can benefit from the deals too!
Not part of the Top 20, but I did recently see a really good flight price listed on their social media feed for Marrakech, so am busily trying to convince the hubby to go for my birthday in January….watch this space! 🙂 You can follow them here: Google +, Facebook and Twitter.
Please note, there are terms and conditions attached to the deals, so please read the small print!
Where are you dreaming / planning on going on holiday next?
