Trespass Ladies Walking Trousers – Review

I try to go proper hiking (by proper I mean head to the mountains) at least once or twice a month if possible and my staple clothing item for my legs are trousers so it’s essential that I have a comfortable pair of trousers on that I can wear all day long and withstand scuffs from scrambling over rocks.

I first saw the Trespass Ladies Retold Quick Dry Stretch Active Walking Trousers being worn by my friend and she raved about them so when outdoor clothing retailer Outdoor Look got in touch asking if I’d like to review a pair I naturally jumped at the chance!

On receiving the trousers the first thing I noticed was they were very lightweight.  I opted for the Black style so that the black panelling wasn’t too obvious, I don’t need to accentuate my derrière any more than it needs to be!  I do like the black panelling look through and often have noticed these styles of trousers when on the hills.

The trouser sits nicely on the waist and with an elasticated band meaning I didn’t need to readjust them too often, and are done up with a zip and popper button which actually would make things easier to manage if hands are cold…buttons can be a pain when fingers don’t want to work!!

My only personal drawback on the trouser was that they are only available in one length at 80cm (31″), I’m a little taller and therefore would have preferred a slightly longer fit…saying this they didn’t feel too short when wearing boots…I guess this is more personal preference on how you like to wear trousers…

Other handy features to note is that the trouser has 7 (!) pockets! This is great if you prefer to keep your small items to hand and not tucked away in your backpack.  Also the legs have ankle zips should you need the extra room to remove the trousers whilst still wearing your boots and overall the trousers are quite stretchy making them incredibly comfortable to wear be that walking, bending or sitting.

Probably one of the best features of the Trespass Ladies Walking Trousers is that they are quick drying, rain has been such a common feature on my last hiking trips that to have this feature means I don’t have to be uncomfortable in the rain for too long and as soon as the rain stops the trousers can dry off in no time.
