World of Country Life Devon – Review
During our stay at Ladram Bay Holiday Park, we took the time to visit some neighbouring attractions suitable for children. World of Country Life in Exmouth, Devon is an all-weather attraction suitable for the whole family and suitable for a whole day out.
With many things to see and do, we started our day at one of the soft-play areas including bouncy castle as per request from the youngest! It was a little chilly sitting but conveniently there was a hot drink machine in the area!
Moving on we headed to an outside play area which contained trampolines and a big slide and then onto the animal areas.
We had a great time in the petting area where we could get up close with goats and lambs, this was a big highlight as they were just adorable!
Among the lambs and goats there was other traditional farm animals like cows and pigs each having some babies on show which was lovely to see.
We managed to catch the Deer Train and once aboard we were taken through fields of deer, llamas and sheep, once you reach the far end of the field you get to hand feed the animals too.
Coming off the Deer Train, take a walk along to find the wallabies, rhea’s, donkeys and Shetland ponies, you can also play mini golf in this area too.
If you’ve seen enough of the animals and play areas then on the way out visit the Hall of Transport and take a trip down memory lane through a cleverly done Victorian street, you are able to enter each ‘shop’ and really get a feel of these times.
We did have lunch at Farmer Lee’s Food Barn and although food was of an ok standard, there was an awfully long wait once we had ordered. My advice would be to take your own picnic if possible (the park isn’t so big that you can easily nip back to the car to retrieve instead of lugging around with you).
You could easily spend a whole day at World of Country Life, tickets are priced at Adult £10.85, Child (3-17) £8.85 and Under 3’s are free.
*I was given complimentary tickets to visit this park, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
