Spring is finally here, which means warmer temperatures! If you’re planning a picnic, there are plenty of places in the UK to explore. Here are three of the best. 1. Rome is a fascinating city and can be enjoyed as an adult with the architecture and history of the Roman Empire but there’s no reason why you shouldn’t consider taking children to Rome also. You’ll probably end up doing slightly different things to suit the younger ones but you won’t leave feeling short-changed. With the […]
When you think of river cruises you’ll probably think of the usual suspects like the River Nile in Egypt or the River Seine in France and whilst these are amazing cruises to go on, sometimes it’s good to break away from the traditional and find some alternative places to see by river. I’ve mentioned a few times over different bog posts about how I always tend to wear a buff when out hiking, I feel they give good all-year round weather protection whether it’s shielding your face from the bitter wind to keeping your head covered over in the sunshine (or simply used as a headband to […]

My name is Carly and I live in the UK. I have 2 boys, 2 dogs, 5 cats and many tropical fish (Yes I am that crazy animal loving person you read about!)…I work full-time from the comfort of my own home, I love music and try and get to as many gigs as possible. The reason I have set up this blog is to document my life as a mum whilst also tackling my desire to travel and have an adventure. I’ve recently completed an Everest Base Camp trek for charity in October 2013 and I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro back in February 2011…currently looking for my next adventure!
