Day 7 on Kilimanjaro had arrived, it was greeted by a mixture of relief and of sadness that the trip was nearly over, that we’ll soon be going back to the ‘day-to-day’ (dare I say boredom?) life back in the UK… Before setting off, we had a group photo with all the team and the […]
It’s no secret, breaking away from the ‘rock’ music trend, I do like a bit of Justin Timberlake. Lucky enough to see him live on his last UK tour in 2007, it was one of the best concert performances I’ve been to. Now he’s back after 6 years and I’m eagerly awaiting his next UK […]
Day 6 (technically we’re still in Day 5 right now) on Kilimanjaro, the night we were all waiting for had arrived. The few hours we were meant to sleep was probably the longest I’ve ever experienced, all I can remember was the howling wind and thinking “Sh*t, we’re walking in this soon!” Woken up at […]

Day 4 of the trek up Kilimanjaro and my favourite day of the whole trek, why? The Barranco Wall, that’s why! Before I arrived in Tanzania, I had heard lots of things about the wall, so I decided to research what the wall actually entailed and I have to say when I was looking at […]
You me at Six are one of my current favourite bands, since having seen them support Fall Out Boy and following their rise to success has been amazing. I saw them a few times in smaller venues (O2 academys etc) and to get as close as we did was just incredible and then to catch […]
My name is Carly and I live in the UK. I have 2 boys, 2 dogs, 5 cats and many tropical fish (Yes I am that crazy animal loving person you read about!)…I work full-time from the comfort of my own home, I love music and try and get to as many gigs as possible. The reason I have set up this blog is to document my life as a mum whilst also tackling my desire to travel and have an adventure. I’ve recently completed an Everest Base Camp trek for charity in October 2013 and I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro back in February 2011…currently looking for my next adventure!
