Day 4 of the trek up Kilimanjaro and my favourite day of the whole trek, why? The Barranco Wall, that’s why! Before I arrived in Tanzania, I had heard lots of things about the wall, so I decided to research what the wall actually entailed and I have to say when I was looking at […]
You me at Six are one of my current favourite bands, since having seen them support Fall Out Boy and following their rise to success has been amazing. I saw them a few times in smaller venues (O2 academys etc) and to get as close as we did was just incredible and then to catch […]
Day 3 of trekking on Kilimanjaro, still in high spirits we set off for another day of walking. The walk today was fairly flat in comparison to the previous day, not particularly strenuous. We hiked until lunchtime (hairy chicken legs on the menu again today!) and came to a cross-road on the trail…Do we go […]
I was lucky enough to grab tickets to one of my favourite bands, Biffy Clyro on their latest tour at LG Arena in Birmingham. I’ve seen them 4 times now (the most seen band in my gig repertoire!) firstly at Wembley Arena when they were still relatively un-heard of, supporting Foo Fighters at Milton Keynes […]

Time to sample the breakfast…. Generally consisting of hot dog type sausages, bread, cheese, pancakes and porridge, at […]
Panic! At The Disco – The Ballad of Mona Lisa…..Great video…

My name is Carly and I live in the UK. I have 2 boys, 2 dogs, 5 cats and many tropical fish (Yes I am that crazy animal loving person you read about!)…I work full-time from the comfort of my own home, I love music and try and get to as many gigs as possible. The reason I have set up this blog is to document my life as a mum whilst also tackling my desire to travel and have an adventure. I’ve recently completed an Everest Base Camp trek for charity in October 2013 and I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro back in February 2011…currently looking for my next adventure!
