Chemist Direct – Review
A little while ago I was asked if I would like to review online pharmacy Chemist Direct. With toiletries a constant factor in my weekly shop I was interested to see if I could get all the toiletries I need and what other choices they have on offer.
Firstly and completely straying away from the toiletry section of the wesbite I spotted the pet health section, intrigued as to what I could choose here, I was surprised to see that I could buy a range of food and prescription medicines (prescription from vet is required) along with flea and worming treatments which is handy if you want to buy at the same time as everything else.
Being an online pharmacy, Chemist Direct offers the buyer the chance to get their prescription medication here also, again a written prescription is required from your GP should you wish to pruchase any though.
Going back to the toiletries, one thing I found useful is that some of the products I was looking at were actually on offer so I was able to bulk buy face wipes for example which will last me a lot longer and therefore not need to buy for quite some time.
Also available are the standard products you expect to find, over the counter medicines, vitamins, baby products, skincare products, hair products and travel products like suncream.
What’s also handy is that Chemist Direct offer free postage and packaging for orders over £40, which lets face it doesn’t take much to reach these days.
Another feature that Chemist Direct offer is their online doctor service, here you find the treatment for a number of conditions, fill out a questionnaire and checkout, a doctor then reviews your case and then you all being well you are then able to receive the treatment you require. I see online doctors/vets being advertised quite often these days, so I am skeptical as to how efficient they are to seeing a professional face to face, but I guess if the ailment is fairly straightforward then I imagine it can free up valuable time for the GPS in the surgeries.
