Alton Towers with Samsung Galaxy K zoom #100DaysofFamily
When Samsung contacted me to ask If I wanted to test out their new Galaxy K zoom with a day trip to Alton Towers, I simply couldn’t resist.
I’ll admit I’m a devoted Apple user so was a little apprehensive on how I’d get on with the Samsung, but after a few minutes of playing around I quickly got the hang of the controls and found that actually the Samsung was really very good….good enough to tempt me away?? We shall see!
One of the major features of the Galaxy K zoom is the incredible zoom lens (not surprisingly!)
Here’s a picture of my cat Sky taken at full zoom on my iPhone 5S…
Then from the same position using the Galaxy K zoom…
The difference is clear to see, not only does the Galaxy K zoom zoom in that much farther, it retains it’s sharpness also.
The phone also comes equipped with a great studio editing tool, where you can add effects, change the tone and do all sorts of cool things to your images.
This is the 8 year olds attempt at editing his own photo 🙂
Samsung has launched ‘100 Days of Family’ – a campaign to celebrate the diversity of the modern British family life by inviting 50 families from across the country to tell their unique stories through the lens of the Galaxy K zoom.
Take a look at some of the images on there, they really have captured their own stories wonderfully.
Here’s some pictures from our day at Alton Towers, not surprisingly being a day in the summer holidays, the queues were pretty long so consequently we were unable to get on all the rides we wanted to, but we made the best of what we could…
By far the most popular choice was Justins House in the new Cbeebies Land, just chaos, balls flying everywhere, people targeting you as their next victim…but great fun and luckily the shortest queue we found all day!
Where would you go on your family day out to best capture you as a family?

I am a definite Samsung lady, I cannot recommend the brand highly enough. I do have an iPad but could never change to the iPhone. The camera on my new Galaxy S5 never fails to amaze me.
L and I will be going to the beach over the weekend and if the sun is with us then shadow pictures on the beach will be awesome to take 🙂 Myself and mini me!x
